I believe that an individual’s degree of balance and wellness is influenced by their mind, body, culture, and lifestyle. I work with each person to explore which areas need balance restored through psychiatric evaluation, functional lab testing, genetic testing, medication management, and individual brief supportive psychotherapy. While I value the use of psychiatric medications in treating mental health disorders, I also believe that participating in therapy and making meaningful lifestyle changes—such as limiting the use of controlled substances, eating a healthier diet, developing good sleep hygiene, and exercising—are equally important. I have additional training and certification in integrative psychiatry, which enables me to provide recommendations for enhancing overall health and exploring potential nutraceutical options for individuals seeking alternatives to traditional medications. My approach to mental health care is centered on helping each individual discover the root cause of their symptoms, empowering them to achieve lifelong healing and lasting relief. Focus Areas • Mood Disorders: Depressive Disorders, Bipolar Disorders • Anxiety Disorders: Generalized Anxiety Disorder, OCD, Panic Disorder • ADD/ADHD in adults • Trauma Disorders: Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, Chronic Stress • Co-occurring Disorders: Personality Disorders, and Substance Use Disorders
