Mental health provider completing continuing education CMEs at Family Care Center.

Family Care Center Positioned to Lead Continuing Education in Behavioral Health

Family Care Center proudly announces dual accreditations in behavioral health continuing education. The company has been awarded Joint Providership status through the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME®) in addition to being named an American Psychological Association (APA)-approved sponsor of continuing education units (CEUs).

These prestigious credentials set new standards for education initiatives at Family Care Center, ensuring high-quality continuing education for mental health professionals.

The ACCME accreditation, in partnership with the Tennessee Medical Association, recognizes Family Care Center as a provider of continuing medical education (CME) for physicians and clinicians for the next three years. This accreditation confirms that Family Care Center delivers relevant, evidence-based education that is independent of commercial influence.

“We are thrilled to achieve ACCME accreditation and look forward to offering CME courses that meet the needs of clinicians while upholding the highest standards of excellence,” said Dr. Charles Weber, Founder and Chief Medical Officer of Family Care Center.

Family Care Center has also been approved as an APA-sponsored provider of CEUs by the American Psychological Association Continuing Education Committee (APA CEC). This designation enables Family Care Center to offer CEU-accredited coursework to therapists, psychologists, medical assistants and other providers.

“The APA approval further validates our dedication to advancing mental health education and ensuring that professionals have access to the latest evidence-based practices,” said Dr. Weber.

With these accreditations, Family Care Center will develop accredited coursework focusing on transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) treatment in the behavioral health field. These courses will cover topics such as novel TMS treatment protocols, safety and best clinical practice guidelines.

“Family Care Center has been a leader in TMS care since 2016, with over 75,000 successful treatments and demonstrated superior outcomes based on patient-reported data,” noted Dr. Weber. “Through certified CME and CEU courses, we can ensure our team remains at the forefront of behavioral health practices and is better equipped to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve.”
