Our Story: Building Better Mental Health Care

Celebrating 10 years in behavioral health is a meaningful milestone. While many organizations struggle to grow while staying true to their mission, Family Care Center has done both with purpose and consistency.

In this special “Our Story” interview, Founder and Chief Medical Officer Dr. Charles “Chuck” Weber reflects on the journey from a single idea to a nationally recognized model of care. Drawing from his time as Chief of Behavioral Health at Fort Carson, Dr. Weber shares how the organization was built to solve a critical gap: too many individuals and families lacked access to coordinated, comprehensive outpatient mental health services. As he puts it, when he couldn’t find a system that offered a full spectrum of care, “I couldn’t find it, and so I made it.”

What began in 2016 with a small team, a handful of patients, and a clear mission has grown into a scalable, outcomes-driven model. At the core of this model is a fully clinician-led, multidisciplinary approach. Providers across specialties collaborate under one roof—therapists, psychiatrists, psychologists, and more—working together to create personalized care plans for each patient.

The result is care that is both personal and effective. Across nearly 2 million patient encounters, more than 8 in 10 patients experience meaningful improvement, with outcomes that consistently exceed industry benchmarks.
