Tom Corkery, PA-C
Located at Westshore, FL
I began my career in mental health after earning my B.S. in Psychology from St. Peter’s College in New Jersey. When I moved to Southwest Florida in 2007, I worked in a wide range of settings, including adult and pediatric crisis units, detox services at a Baker Act receiving facility, a dual-diagnosis and chemical-dependence hospital, and a children’s shelter.
These experiences gave me a deep understanding of the challenges individuals and families face and strengthened my commitment to compassionate, effective care.I later completed my Physician Assistant education at South University in Tampa and moved into outpatient psychiatry, providing telehealth services to patients across Florida. I believe strongly in working together with my patients, focusing on clear communication, education, and evidence-based treatment so each person feels supported and informed. I have had the privilege of caring for individuals age six and older, helping those experiencing depression, anxiety, ADHD, PTSD, and other mental health concerns. At Family Care Center, I provide in-person care locally, offer telehealth when it’s a better fit, and also provide Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) as an additional treatment option.
