Dr. Steven Galvan, PsyD

Psychologist

Dr. Galvan is a seasoned clinical psychologist with over two decades of experience providing compassionate, evidence-based care across a wide range of settings.

He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Music from the University of Notre Dame in 2003, followed by a Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) from the APA-accredited Chicago School of Professional Psychology. He completed his APA-accredited predoctoral internship at the University of San Diego.
Throughout his career, Dr. Galvan has worked in diverse clinical environments, including university counseling centers, psychiatric hospitals, correctional facilities, military installations, and community mental health clinics. This breadth of experience informs his flexible and deeply attuned approach to care.
Dr. Galvan works with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families, tailoring treatment to meet the unique needs and goals of each individual. His clinical style is grounded in a strong psychodynamic framework, enriched by the thoughtful integration of cognitive-behavioral and dialectical behavior therapy techniques when appropriate. He is committed to fostering a supportive, inclusive therapeutic environment that honors the complexity and diversity of each person’s lived experience.
