Sayrah Martin, PMHNP
Board-certified PMHNP providing evidence-based care for adults ages 18-65 with depression, anxiety, MDD, and GAD through comprehensive evaluation and treatment.
I am a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) and a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from the University of South Alabama. My clinical experience spans outpatient, inpatient, crisis stabilization, and dual-diagnosis settings, where I have provided comprehensive psychiatric care to adults experiencing depression, anxiety, major depressive disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, trauma-related conditions, and co-occurring substance use disorders.
As a military officer and nurse with more than a decade of healthcare experience, I bring a unique perspective to mental health care. I have worked with diverse populations, including military service members, veterans, individuals navigating life transitions, and patients facing complex psychosocial challenges. These experiences have strengthened my commitment to delivering compassionate, individualized, and evidence-based treatment.
My approach is collaborative and patient-centered. I combine thorough psychiatric assessment, medication management, psychoeducation, supportive psychotherapy, and shared decision-making to develop treatment plans tailored to each patient’s needs, goals, and values. I believe that meaningful progress occurs when patients feel heard, respected, and actively involved in their care.
I strive to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where patients can openly discuss their concerns and work toward lasting emotional wellness. My goal is to help individuals build resilience, improve daily functioning, and achieve sustainable mental health outcomes that enhance their overall quality of life.
