Being vulnerable is a sign of strength, not weakness. Taking the step to seek support is an act of courage and reflects your willingness to care for yourself, grow, and work through the challenges life may bring. I believe that every person’s experiences and behaviors make sense within the context of their unique story. My approach to therapy is centered around building a genuine, trusting relationship where you feel comfortable being yourself and exploring the things that matter most to you. Through collaboration, compassion, and understanding, I work alongside my clients to help them identify their strengths, navigate challenges, and create meaningful change. Drawing from my experience in family therapy, Multisystemic Therapy (MST), medical social work, case management, and refugee services, I provide culturally responsive and individualized care that honors each person’s background and goals. Life was never meant to be navigated alone. It is a privilege to walk alongside my clients as they build resilience, re-discover their strengths, and work toward lasting growth and healing.
The University of Texas at Austin provided me the education and clinical foundation needed to graduate with a Bachelor of Social Work in 2022, followed by a Master of Science in Social Work in 2023. Throughout my training, I had the privilege of serving individuals and families from diverse backgrounds, experiences that continue to shape my approach as a therapist.
During my undergraduate internship with Refugee Services of Texas, I had the privilege of working alongside Afghan refugee families, supporting them through career readiness services, rental assistance, and general case management. This experience was incredibly meaningful and gave me the opportunity to learn from individuals whose backgrounds and life experiences were different from my own. I was challenged to navigate language barriers through interpreters, as many of my clients spoke Pashto, Dari, or Urdu, but I quickly learned that connection and understanding extended beyond words. While communication sometimes required patience, flexibility, and creativity, I was grateful for the opportunity to advocate for my clients and support them as they worked toward stability and their personal goals. This experience strengthened my belief that genuine therapeutic relationships are built through empathy, respect, cultural humility, and a willingness to meet people where they are at.
While completing my graduate degree, I interned at the Dell Medical School in the Musculoskeletal Institute, where I worked alongside an integrated multidisciplinary team supporting individuals navigating the challenges of chronic pain. In this setting, I provided intensive case management to patients from underserved communities, recognizing the unique barriers and circumstances that can impact access to care and overall well-being. I also provided Brief Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Chronic Pain (BCBT-CP), and psychoeducation to help patients better understand their experiences with pain and develop personalized strategies to improve their quality of life. During my graduate studies, I also received formal training in Motivational Interviewing (MI), an evidence-based collaborative approach that emphasizes empathy, respect, and partnership to help individuals explore their goals, overcome barriers, and move toward meaningful change.
Following graduation, I earned my Licensed Master Social Work license (LMSW) and began my career as a Bilingual Multisystemic Therapist with North Texas Behavioral Authority. In this role, I worked with adolescents and their families experiencing complex behavioral challenges by providing Multisystemic Therapy (MST) while integrating interventions from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), psychodynamic, and humanistic approaches when clinically appropriate. My work has remained grounded in a systemic, strengths-based perspective, helping families develop the skills, insight, and resources necessary to create lasting change. Through two years of supervised clinical practice, I earned my Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) credential.
I don’t believe I have all the answers, but I do believe that healing begins with feeling heard, understood, and supported. My goal is to create a compassionate and welcoming space where you can feel comfortable being yourself, explore your experiences, and work toward the changes that matter most to you. As a fully bilingual clinician, I provide therapy in both English and Spanish and strive to offer culturally responsive care that honors each person’s unique background, values, and story. I believe therapy is most meaningful when it is built on trust, authenticity, and a genuine connection between client and therapist. Whether you are working through anxiety, depression, family challenges, life transitions, or simply seeking personal growth, it would be an honor to support you and walk alongside you throughout your journey.
