My name is Patrick, and I am a clinical therapist that works with children, adolescents, and their families to form a holistic system of support, skills, and independence.
Hi, my name is Patrick Nusbaum and I am a clinical mental health therapist and Licensed Practicing Counselor in the state of Colorado and Minnesota.
I graduated with my bachelor’s degree in psychology from St. Cloud State Univeristy, and my master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from Adler Graduate School.
Before moving to Colorado, I have worked with children in the scope of individual therapy, 1:1 ABA therapy, and faciliated several child and adolescent based therapy groups.
I also have experience diagnosing and supporting children and adolescents who have had difficulties with anxiety, depression, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Oppostional Defiant Disorder (ODD), as well as other neurodevelopmental and mental health disorders.
I utilize many different therapeutic modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Adlerian Therapy, and Trauma Informed Care to name a few.
I believe in meeting each child, asolescent, and family where they are at to build a focused and secure therapeutic relationship. My goal is to provide a safe environment where each individual feels comfortable navigating their challenges and difficulties that impact their daily functioning.
My intent is to treat each indivudal with respect by creating a treatment plan that highlights their unique needs and strengths. I achieve this by incorporating their interests, culture, and passions into creative and productive outlets for building life skills and overcoming barriers to improve their daily functioning.
