Mary Lee Churchill, LPC

My mission as a Licensed Professional Counselor is to provide a compassionate, grounded, and nonjudgmental space where adults can heal, grow, and rediscover strength within themselves, even after life’s most painful experiences.
Specializing in trauma-focused care through Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), I work with adults ages 18 and older, with a special passion for supporting the geriatric population through the unique emotional, relational, and life-transition challenges that come with aging. My clinical experience includes working with survivors of sexual assault, individuals struggling with military and civilian PTSD, borderline personality disorder, ADHD, grief and loss, anxiety, depression, and complex trauma.
My years working within the correctional system at Centennial Correctional Facility deepened my understanding of trauma, human behavior, accountability, and the lasting emotional impact of abuse and violence. That experience strengthened my compassion for victims and survivors, while reinforcing my belief that healing is possible when people are met with empathy, honesty, and evidence-based care.
As a horsewoman, I also value the healing connection between humans, nature, and animals. Horses have taught me the importance of trust, emotional regulation, patience, and resilience — principles I strive to bring into the therapeutic process every day.
My goal is to help clients feel heard, empowered, emotionally safe, and equipped with practical tools to navigate life’s challenges while building a meaningful and authentic future.
