Lynn Jackson Dorman, MEd, MS, LMHC

Clinic Director

I hold a Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Chaminade University of Honolulu. I’m a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional and a Certified Forensic Mental Health Evaluator.

My training includes Gottman Method Level II, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Trauma-Informed Stabilization Treatment (TIST), Rapid Trauma Resolution, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy. I specialize in working with individuals who have experienced trauma, substance use issues, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, and those from marginalized communities, including veterans. I draw from various evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and person-centered methods to support meaningful, lasting change. With over 20 years of service in the U.S. Army, I bring a grounded, compassionate, and strength-based perspective to my practice—rooted in discipline and empathy. I find deep joy in guiding my clients through the process of self-discovery and helping them grow into their full potential. In therapy, we’ll create a collaborative, judgment-free space where your healing and growth are the priority. My approach is person-centered and existential, emphasizing self-awareness, acceptance, and the transformative power of choice.
