I am an experienced clinical social worker with a strong background in behavioral health, crisis intervention, case management, and care coordination for Veterans, service members, and their families. My career reflects a long-standing commitment to supporting individuals and families facing complex mental health, medical, and psychosocial challenges through compassionate, evidence-informed, and recovery-focused care.
I am a clinical social worker with experience serving Veterans in community-based outpatient, residential, and extended-care settings. My work has included biopsychosocial assessments, informed clinical evaluations, treatment planning, suicide and homicide risk assessments, safety planning, psychotherapy, and interdisciplinary care coordination. I have provided individual, couples, family, and group counseling, with experience supporting Veterans affected by PTSD, military sexual trauma, suicide risk, medical complexity, and long-term care needs.
Prior to my VA service, I worked with Embedded Behavioral Health Services, Department of the army as a Psychology Technician and social work intern, providing triage, intake support, crisis intervention, psychoeducation, counseling support, and group facilitation. I gained experience with evidence-based interventions including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Prolonged Exposure, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Cognitive-Behavioral Conjoint Therapy for PTSD.
I am also one of those rare therapists who is also a retired military Veteran, and I have years of experience working with all branches of the U.S. military. This has given me insight and compassion for the unique challenges faced by active-duty service members, Veterans, and first responders.
