Joshua Valadez, LCSW
Located at North Peoria, AZ
I focus on helping children, teens, young adults, and their families feel understood, build confidence, and navigate emotional, behavioral, and life challenges.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with experience in outpatient, school-based, and hospital settings. My approach is collaborative, individualized, and trauma informed. I believe therapy works best when clients feel safe, understood, and comfortable being themselves, so I place a strong emphasis on building trust and meeting each person where they are.
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Sand Tray Therapy, and play-based interventions. I am also trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and may incorporate selected techniques based on each client’s needs. I value caregiver education and family involvement. I have experience supporting clients with anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, life transitions, and other emotional or behavioral concerns.
My goal is to create a supportive space where clients and families feel heard while developing practical skills, greater confidence, and a stronger understanding of themselves.
