Gia specializes in trauma, racial trauma, grief, and relational healing, helping individuals and families build resilience, connection, and meaningful change.
“Owning our story and loving ourselves through that process is the bravest thing that we will ever do.” — Brené Brown
This quote beautifully reflects how I approach therapy. I believe there is something deeply healing about having a space where we can show up as we are and feel genuinely seen, heard, and understood. My goal is to offer that kind of space…one rooted in compassion, curiosity, authenticity, and without judgment.
I believe our experiences, relationships, culture, identity, and the different parts of ourselves all contribute to who we are and how we move through the world. Sometimes the ways we learned to protect ourselves or survive difficult experiences no longer serve us in the same way. Therapy can be a place to approach those parts of ourselves with curiosity and compassion rather than judgment, while creating space for new ways of relating to ourselves and others.
My therapeutic approach is warm, collaborative, culturally responsive, and trauma-informed. I integrate EMDR, parts work, family systems, attachment-based interventions, and somatic approaches based on each person’s unique needs. I am EMDR certified and am completing advanced training in Somatic Experiencing.
I believe therapy is as an opportunity to understand yourself more deeply, reconnect with your strengths, and create meaningful change. My role is to meet you where you are and walk alongside you as you build greater self-compassion, resilience, connection, and a life that feels more authentic to who you are.
