Chad Summers, LPC

Clinical Therapist

With more than a decade of experience as a Licensed Professional Counselor, I help older teens (15+) and adults overcome anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, and life’s most difficult challenges. I specialize in Values-Driven Therapy, an evidence-based approach that helps clients reduce symptoms while creating lasting change. I help people build lives directed by their values–not dictated by fear, trauma, addiction, anxiety, or depression.

Finding the right therapist is about more than credentials–it’s about finding someone whose approach fits the kind of life you want to build. For more than a decade, I’ve had the privilege of helping older teens (15+) and adults navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, emotional regulation, and life’s most difficult seasons.

Over the years, I’ve developed a Values-Driven approach to therapy that integrates Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and trauma-informed care. While reducing symptoms is an important part of therapy, I believe lasting change happens when we connect that healing to something greater: the values, relationships, and purpose that give life meaning.

I believe people are often far more capable than they realize. My role isn’t to tell you who to become–it’s to help you discover the resilience, motivation, and strengths that are already within you so you can move toward the life you want to live. Together, we’ll identify what’s keeping you stuck, develop practical strategies to manage difficult emotions, and build the confidence to continue moving forward–even when life gets hard.

Clients often appreciate that I balance compassion with honesty. I’ll listen carefully, but I’ll also challenge you when needed, celebrate your progress, and help you stay focused on the goals that matter most to you. My goal is not simply to help you feel better today, but to equip you with skills and perspectives that continue serving you long after therapy ends.

I believe the goal of therapy is not simply to reduce symptoms, but to help people build lives directed by their values–not dictated by fear, trauma, addiction, anxiety, or depression.
