Betsy Bowers, LPC

Clinical Therapist

My experience with children and teens provides me with unique perspective on change and the importance of coregulation for healing.

Using an attachment-informed and eclectic approach, I work especially well with Clients dealing with depression, anxiety, relationship problems, stage of life transitions, trauma and spiritual issues. I am fascinated and energized by helping Clients access both their internal and external resources and strengths they possess but may not recognize. It is my passion to integrate evidence-based approaches such as Gottman Couples’ Therapy, EMDR, Internal Family Systems, Family Systems, Emotion-Focused Therapy and Child-Centered Play Therapy, alongside a compassionate and curious perspective for learning about various situations.

When I’m not wearing my therapy hat, I can be found spending time with my fur children, loved ones, soaking in nature, crafting, doing yoga or working out, as well as reading and writing for enjoyment (and study!). It is imperative to me to balance the various roles that life has called me into, and I find that my internal work truly fuels and restores my spirit for the vocation that is therapy.
