Andrew LaPointe, LCSW, MSW
Located at West Littleton, CO
I have over 8 years of experience working with children and families as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I am passionate about providing a safe space for individuals to tackle issues ranging from everyday stressors to major life challenges.
After graduating with my Masters in Social Work from the Brown School of Social work at Washington University in St. Louis, I immediately dove in to working with children and families. Throughout my career I have worked in a wide range of settings, from crisis stabilization and intensive outpatient units to school-based and outpatient work. During this time I have gained a wealth of knowledge surrounding youth and families, and my approach reflects these experiences. I believe that the foundation of a healthy family is understanding what each member needs from one another and working together to find solutions.
It can be difficult as a parent to watch your child struggle with their mental health and not know how to help them. I recognize that oftentimes adolescents see therapists as just another adult trying to tell them what to do, which is why my approach emphasizes the importance of letting clients lead and providing guidance along the way.
If you or your child are struggling to find a path through the challenges you are facing, know that help is out there. I would be honored for the opportunity to walk alongside you as you take these next steps in your journey.
