Family Care Center is pleased to welcome Dr. Carlos Diaz, a licensed adult psychiatrist, to its Peoria clinic on Thunderbird Rd. Dr. Diaz provides compassionate, evidence-based psychiatric care for adults ages 18 and older, partnering with each patient to develop a treatment plan that reflects their unique needs, goals, and life experiences.
He has extensive experience treating anxiety, depression, psychotic disorders, and substance use disorders, as well as supporting individuals whose medical conditions impact their mental health.
“I believe in meeting patients where they are and creating a treatment plan that makes sense for them,” said Dr. Diaz. “My goal is to listen carefully, answer questions openly, and provide care that helps each person move toward better mental health.”
Dr. Diaz earned his medical degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and completed his psychiatry residency at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia. Throughout his career, he has cared for patients in academic medical centers, community and private outpatient practices, and medical and surgical hospitals, giving him broad experience treating both complex and common mental health conditions.
