SAN ANTONIO – Family Care Center is proud to welcome Dr. Christopher Jackson, a board-certified psychiatrist and U.S. Air Force Veteran, to our new Stone Oak clinic. Dr. Jackson brings extensive experience and a compassionate, evidence-based approach to adult psychiatric care, helping individuals navigate challenges and achieve lasting wellness.
“As both a psychiatrist and a Veteran, I understand the importance of trust, clarity, and personalized care when it comes to mental health treatment,” Dr. Jackson shared. “I take a comprehensive and compassionate approach, recognizing that no two patients are the same—and neither are their treatment plans. Whether facing PTSD, depression, anxiety, or simply seeking direction, I offer evidence-based care with a holistic mindset to support your goals.”
Dr. Jackson earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at San Antonio and completed his medical degree at the University of Texas Health San Antonio. He went on to complete his psychiatry residency at the same institution, where he served as chief resident at University Hospital.
In addition to his clinical background, Dr. Jackson served in the U.S. Air Force, beginning in the Reserves before transitioning to Active Duty. During his military service, he held multiple leadership roles, including Medical Director of Outpatient Psychiatry and Deputy Chief Medical Officer at Hurlburt Field’s 1st Special Operations Medical Readiness Group.
Dr. Jackson is currently accepting new patients for adult psychiatric services, including but not limited to:
- Treatment for anxiety, depression, schizophrenia, psychotic disorders, PTSD, postpartum depression, and other mental health conditions
- Psychiatric evaluation and diagnosis
- Medication management
