Leading the Way in Innovation and Outcomes

Family Care Center is dedicated to the advancement of patient care through evidence-based clinical research and high-quality, continuous provider education. By staying at the forefront of these efforts, we ensure our patients receive the highest standard of care.

Our Research

At Family Care Center, we are committed to advancing the field of behavioral health through rigorous research and innovation. We are among just a few behavioral health organizations in the country with our own internal research team dedicated to the goal of furthering evidence-based patient care in our field.

Our research efforts focus on understanding the complexities of mental health conditions and developing effective interventions. We conduct a variety of clinical studies aimed at uncovering new insights into mental health disorders and treatment strategies.

Our research team* published a ground-breaking study in Brain Stimulation in November 2023, featuring a novel sequential bilateral neurostimulation approach for patients with treatment-resistant depression, involving high-frequency transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS).

Additionally, our research team is actively engaged in the publication of several key research initiatives, including:

  • A Novel Sequential Bilateral Approach for Treating Anxiety in Patients with Major Depressive Disorder (poster abstract presented at the 2024 Clinical TMS Society Meeting in London and to be published in Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation in 2024
  • An editorial submitted to Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation titled: Symptom Provocation Combined with TMS as a Mechanism for Reconsolidation/Destabilization and Extinction of Autobiographical Memory Dysfunction in Depression: A Novel Perspective

Family Care Center is continuously working on additional lines of research involving TMS alone or combined with other clinical service lines. Our TMS research focuses on advancing the field beyond FDA-approved protocols for a variety of psychiatric and neurological conditions.

* The study by Segal, SK, Weber, CL, Kaplan AM, Wongngamnit N, Avallone AG, Churi KU, Davalt AD, Ivany CG was published in Brain Stimulation.

The leaders in TMS treatment

When therapy and medication aren’t enough, transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) can be a life-changing solution. It’s a non-invasive, safe and effective treatment for depression, OCD and more. Plus, TMS is covered by most major insurance and is done on an outpatient basis.

Our Family Care Center TMS experts have completed over 70,000 successful TMS treatments. Contact us today to see if TMS treatment is appropriate for you.

Translating research into better patient care

Our clinical studies are centered around innovative treatment options that contribute to the broader field of behavioral health. By exploring new therapeutic approaches and refining existing ones, we strive to enhance patient outcomes and improve overall well-being.

Our expert team of therapists, psychologists, psychiatrists and other mental health providers work together to create a personalized treatment plan for each patient. Our evidence-based research findings result in the most current and relevant treatment options.

We use measurement-based approaches, tailored to improve individual patient care, backed by extensive research, to ensure our patients receive the best clinical outcomes. Our integrated, collaborative approach between multidisciplinary experts has proven to make a real difference in mental health outcomes
