Online Therapy Through Telehealth Appointments

We understand that many of our patients lead busy lives, and it's not always easy to be seen in-person. That's why we offer telehealth appointments to offer the quality mental health care you need, in an environment that works for you.

Who benefits from telehealth?

Many people are unable to attend a traditional therapy session in one of our offices. We want you to know, we understand and offer virtual mental health appointments in the states that we serve.

Perhaps:

  • You live in a rural area, far from any traditional therapist’s office.
  • You have a medical issue that prevents you from travel.
  • You’re caring for a child or a loved one and are unable to get away.
  • You are in a high-risk category that prevents you from being around other people.

Please note:

  • We offer online appointments in states where we operate clinics. Our Locations
  • Online medication management appointments may not be available in your area, or your provider may require you to be seen in person depending on your current medical status.
  • Therapy for certain conditions cannot be effectively performed via telehealth mental health.  In such cases, in-person appointments will be required.

How telehealth appointments work

Our intake team will establish a patient portal account with you during the registration process.

At the time of your telehealth mental health appointment, you will access the portal through our website or the InSync website

If you have any questions along the way, just contact the front desk staff at your clinic. Clinic phone numbers.

Family Care Center uses a secure, HIPAA compliant Zoom video platform that is integrated into our electronic health records system. This allows us to conduct a secure face-to-face conversations between you and your therapist or medication provider.

The video conference is completely secure and confidential, and nothing is recorded or kept in any way.

When you schedule a telehealth appointment, your appointment will be visible in your patient portal. All you have to do is click on that appointment and you will be connected to your provider by video at the time of your appointment. If you do not have a patient portal set up, please contact our front desk and they will help you get one established.

What do you need to get started?

Your therapist will meet with you from his or her private office, ensuring you have a fully confidential environment, just as you would if you were meeting in person for your appointment.

If you’re currently seeing a therapist from our offices but suddenly face a life situation that prevents you from travel, telehealth can be a perfect way to continue meeting with your provider, even though you can’t make it to our offices.

Is telehealth effective?

Telehealth has been shown to be as effective for people in all different kinds of life situations. This is why many insurance plans have chosen to include telehealth as part of their standard coverage.

Will my insurance company cover telehealth?
