Learn More About Our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) Tracks
Family Care Center offers multiple mental health IOP Tracks for adults, including Stabilization, Trauma Resolution and Resiliency Tracks. Patients are matched to the best track to serve their individual circumstances. Please note that this is not a dedicated substance abuse program.
The Family Care Center IOP (FCC IOP) treatment is primarily intended for individuals 18 years old and above and is suggested for:
- Individuals who have not made adequate progress in routine weekly outpatient behavioral health treatment need more robust, intensive behavioral health treatment without the restrictions of a psychiatric inpatient setting.
- Individuals recently discharged from an inpatient setting and require more intensive treatment than that provided in a weekly outpatient setting.
- Individuals experiencing acute mental health crises and are at risk of harm to themselves and others but do not meet the criteria for inpatient care.
- Reside near or are willing to travel to care location.
IOP-Stabilization (IOP-S) Track
Focused on symptoms stabilization using DBT Skills and psychoeducation. The Stabilization track is designed to support individuals who are experiencing debilitating mental health symptoms that are interfering with their daily functioning and are impacting their work and relationships. IOP treatment can help them regain control over their symptoms in a safe environment. The focus of the Stabilization Track is to provide DBT skills and intense psychoeducation pertaining to:
- Crisis stabilization
- Resiliency skills
- Symptoms management
- Health issues management (such as sleep hygiene, pain management, nutrition awareness and substance abuse)
IOP-Trauma Resolution (IOP-TR) Track
Our IOP-TR track is a closed group and is focused on helping patients process and resolve trauma while building the skills needed for lasting recovery and resilience. Using evidence-based modalities like Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Seeking Safety, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), EMDR, participants will work to address the underlying impact of trauma on their mental health and daily lives.
This track is designed for patients whose mental health symptoms stem from past and present traumatic experiences, which continue to disrupt their emotional stability, relationships, and overall functioning. The Trauma Resolution Track provides a structured and supportive environment to process trauma, build resilience, and create healthier coping mechanisms. Key focus areas include:
- Trauma processing and resolution: Facilitated through CPT and Seeking Safety to address the cognitive and emotional impact of trauma to include substance abuse.
- Building resilience and emotional regulation: Using DBT skills to develop tools for managing emotions, tolerating distress, and improving interpersonal relationships.
- Recovery-oriented psychoeducation: Emphasizing safety, mindfulness, and wellness to support trauma recovery and long-term stability.
- Health and wellness integration: Guidance on sleep hygiene, nutrition, substance use awareness, and pain management to promote holistic healing.
- This track offers a pathway to recovery for those seeking to regain control over their lives after trauma, fostering hope, empowerment, and resilience in a safe therapeutic setting.
IOP-Resiliency (IOP-R) Track
Our IOP-TR track is a closed group and is focused on helping patients process and resolve trauma while building the skills needed for lasting recovery and resilience. Using evidence-based modalities like Cognitive Processing Our IOP-Resiliency track focuses on helping participants generalize and apply the skills they have learned to enhance their ability to navigate challenges, build lasting resilience, and achieve greater independence in their daily lives. This track emphasizes Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills and psychoeducation to promote sustained wellness and recovery.
This track is designed for individuals who have achieved symptom stabilization and are ready to strengthen their ability to maintain progress in the face of everyday stressors. This track focuses on skill generalization, helping participants integrate skills into their work, relationships, and other areas of life. The Resiliency Track emphasizes:
- Skill generalization: Practical application of DBT skills such as mindfulness, emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness to real-world situations.
- Building sustainable coping mechanisms: Enhancing the ability to adapt to and manage ongoing stress and challenges.
- Strengthening recovery-oriented behaviors: Incorporating wellness practices such as sleep hygiene, nutrition, and substance use prevention into daily routines.
- Promoting self-efficacy and independence: Empowering participants to take ownership of their recovery and resilience strategies.
The Resiliency Track supports individuals in transitioning from stabilization to thriving, equipping them with the tools they need to lead balanced, fulfilling lives.
