Everybody has a story. Everybody’s life is unique in its own way, based upon the experiences they have encountered throughout their life and on a continued everyday basis. Without proper coping skills, these unique experiences can sometimes compound until they and our lives are unmanageable. While life is full of beautiful moments there are also times when life is chaotic, painful and unmanageable.

Read MoreOur health and development are driven by our genetics, environments, and psychological wellness. As a provider, I approach each patient with understanding and empathy, knowing every story is valuable and unique. Clinical Therapist

My counseling approach utilizes systems theory to identify problems within the context of the system where they began.

Instead of seeing problems residing within the individual, I look at how the entire system contributes to the problem formation. The system generates the problem and the two are maintained by each other, and behavior is understood in the context of its’ environment. Together in a caring and respectful environment, we will discover together your goal for the best version of your future going forward. Life coaching is an integral aspect of my treatment protocol.
Problems are often the catalyst to initiate counseling. When overwhelmed, it often becomes easier to focus on problems rather than solutions. We will focus on the context of the problem in the system and co-create solutions. Our time together will most likely be brief, averaging six to ten sessions.

In the course of therapy, I will look at your interactional patterns, family of origin dynamics, metamessages, transgenerational themes, and sequences of behavior with the goal of restoring flexibility and self-expression of the members of the system.
