BCBS of Texas Insurance Update

Starting Oct. 15, 2025, Family Care Center will be in-network with select Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas (BCBSTX) Commercial & Medicare Advantage plans.

  • Some BCBSTX patients may be eligible to pay in-network rates. Your bill will automatically reflect the new rates if your plan is eligible and once your provider has completed the credentialing process.
  • Services covered will depend on your insurance plan. Unfortunately, Magellan-managed Commercial and Medicare plans will not be covered.
  • If your plan is not covered, care will continue at your current self-pay rate.
  • Please contact your insurance provider for coverage questions.

If Blue Cross Blue Shield of TX is your primary insurance, here’s what you need to know.

Services covered will depend on your specific BCBS of Texas plan. We recommend reviewing your plan details or contacting BCBS of Texas for more information.

If you have one of our select BCBS of Texas plans, you’ll benefit from in-network rates for appointments and services after 10/15/24. Check with your provider if you have questions about any scheduled appointments.

You can contact BCBS of Texas directly or review your plan details to confirm whether your specific plan is included.

No additional steps are required. As long as your BCBS of Texas plan is in-network with Family Care Center, you’ll automatically benefit from the reduced rates starting 10/15/24.

Unfortunately, Magellan-managed Commercial and Medicare plans will not be covered.

We can confirm that Magellan manages Blue Advantage HMO and MyBlue Health HMO, so they will not be considered in-network with Family Care Center. To verify any other plan that Magellan may manage, please check your insurance care for the Magellan Healthcare logo.

Starting Oct. 15, 2024, Family Care Center will be in-network with BCBS of Texas. However, individual providers must complete a credentialing process, which may not align with our group’s effective date. Please check with the scheduling team to confirm your provider’s credentialing status.

If your plan is not covered, we will continue to accept you on a self-pay basis at your current rate.
