Family Care Center’s mental health IOP offers adults and teens a higher level of care than routine appointments while providing flexibility outside the constraints of inpatient treatment.

Adult and teen IOP program details

South Colorado Springs IOP participants meet each Monday through Thursday, three hours daily, for five to six weeks. New group members are admitted weekly. 

  • IOP is provided in a small-group format with no more than 10 participants.  
  • Adult IOP is for 18 and older, and our Teen IOP starts at age 13.    
  • Mental health IOP complements existing care, working alongside therapy and medication management.

Mental health IOP is covered by most major insurance, and our specialists will work with your insurance to obtain authorization and an explanation of your particular plan’s cost benefits. We also offer flexible self-pay options and accept HSA/FSA accounts. For patients with out-of-network insurance, we provide documentation to help you seek reimbursement.

Yes!

Specifically geared for ages 13-17, our teen IOP bridges the gap between weekly therapy and inpatient care. It offers a structured, therapeutic environment that fits into your teen’s schedule providing intensive support while they continue with school, activities, and home life. 

In small, supportive group settings, teens attend sessions for three hours a day, four days a week, over the course of five to six weeks. Each South Colorado Springs IOP cohort is age-appropriate and focuses on enhancing emotional well-being, developing healthy coping strategies, and building lasting resilience. 

We currently do not offer evening or weekend mental health IOP groups in South Colorado Springs.
