Fort Collins, Colo. (April 18, 2024) — Family Care Center proudly introduces Dr. David Fohrman, M.D., as the newest psychiatrist at our Fort Collins, Colorado clinic. With extensive mental health experience, Dr. Fohrman specializes in evidence-based approaches and medication management for mental health patients of all ages.
Dr. Fohrman is a board-certified psychiatrist with over 25 years of experience. He received his medical degree from Chicago Medical School. He completed his psychiatry residency training at Tripler Army Medical Center and his child and adolescent training at the University of California, San Diego.
Dr. Fohrman’s areas of expertise include the prevention and treatment of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) in Veterans and those traumatized by early life experiences. He also has expertise in the identification and treatment of medical conditions, such as traumatic brain injuries (TBIs), that often co-occur with mental health concerns.
Dr. Fohrman is currently accepting new patients and offers psychiatric services, including but not limited to:
- Treatment of depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, psychotic spectrum disorders, ADHD, PTSD and other mental health conditions
- Assessing and diagnosing mental health and psychiatric disorders
- Prescribing and managing medication as needed
