I am a native to Colorado, I was born in the Longmont area and attended school in Lyons. I am married and have two kids, a 15 year old son and a 5 year old daughter. I have two cats, Lucy and Ethel and a dog named Elle who we recused from a shelter in 2020. I love to travel and spend time with my family and I love to read and run different races.

I have been in the in the field for 20 years, I received my first bachelors degree from CSU in Sociology and Criminal Justice in 2003 and then started in the field with adolescents in residential treatment. I received my second bachelor's degree in Social Work in 2008 and then completed my Masters degree in Social Work in 2009. I am licensed in both social work and addiction and have spent time working with teens, older adults, middle age adults, those with severe and persistent mental illness and addiction as well as trauma work and work with teens who struggle with co-occurring disorders.

I am passionate about helping others and helping them along their journey to find healing and a solution. We all have a journey and life experiences who shape who we are and its my goal to help you live your best life despite obstacles and challenges which only serve to make you stronger and allow you to live outside of what has shaped you not because of what has shaped you.

My goal is to offer a safe space for children to be themselves in order to work towards their therapeutic goals. I understand the importance of building a trusting relationship with not only the child, but also their support system. I provide therapy to the child along with parenting support to their caregiver, as both are necessary for growth and healing. I recognize that no two children are alike and place value on getting to know the unique needs of each person, which allows me to adapt my work to meet clients where they are.

My hope is to support you while you become more in tune with your own body and gain awareness of what it needs to thrive – regardless of what you have endured. Your story matters, so honoring your lived experience is the main first step and then I want to be by your side as you navigate the waters of self-discovery.

I look forward to seeing how your journey unfolds as you find your path to living your best life!

"The unexamined life is not worth living" (Aristotle).

I feel strongly that the individual story matters. It shapes our lens, which impacts our experiences, our choices and our actions. Sometimes that lens can get skewed, and things can feel overwhelming or out of whack. I like to be a co-pilot to the client and provide a safe space to allow the client to explore and examine things they may want to change, with the ability to provide them with tools/skills when necessary.

Unique Blake Family Care Center
Unique Blake, LPC, LAC

My approaches include CBT, DBT, EMDR, and Solution Focused Brief Therapy BUT I do NOT believe that one size fits all. I work hard to meet people where they are and help them get to where they want to be.  I see people as individuals going through different experiences in their lives, and sometimes needing support to get through it all. I believe in healing, and I do what I can to help people heal and live their best lives every day in the most healthy and positive way!

Taking the first step to seek a more fulfilling and happy life is brave and takes courage. I am happy to get to know you and support you on your journey. Andrea Roberts, TMS Technician

I have always been an advocate for mental health and am the type of person who wants to help others. I am personable and always willing to listen and learn from others. I want to ensure all patients feel welcomed and comfortable during all of their treatments.

I moved to Fort Collins 8 years ago from NYC and have been embracing the CO lifestyle ever since! One of my favorite things to do is see live music, and I try to go to at least one show per month. I also enjoy walking/hiking, reading, cooking, and learning about new things.
