Meet the Providers

Amanda Buchholz, PA - Clinic Director

I was initially assigned to military intelligence while in the Army, but applied to PA school because I have always been interested in health and helping people! I served as an active duty Army PA for 4 years before switching over to focus on military family members/dependents/retirees with Evans Army Community Hospital in Ft. Carson, CO.  I believe each part of life offers its own blessings and challenges.

I believe emotional and behavioral health is the foundation of all aspects of our lives. It is amazing what can be achieved when your mind is optimized for your individual needs. I do my very best to support and inform each patient’s unique health journey.

Through effective and diligent practice and active participation, a tangible difference can be made in your lives, maybe a small one, but a real one. Many of the effective strategies developed over the last twenty to thirty years have commonalities that can be flexibly applied to an individual’s specific situation. We start by getting a better understanding of what is going on for the individual and begin to focus on a specific fear, worry, sadness, problem, or other issue and then develop a specific plan together.

I have lived in Colorado for a little over 2 years now. I have a passion for clinical operations and healthcare management. Being part of a team and organization that serves the community is my passion. There are many different pieces to a well-functioning clinic, and I am glad to be contributing to Family Care Center. I love to hang out with friends, go to thrift stores, and try new restaurants and coffee shops!

I will be your advocate and together we can get you feeling like your best self.

As a mental health clinician, it is my intention to create a safe, open, therapeutic space for individuals to explore, process, learn and grow from their unique experiences while fostering connection and building their skill set. My goal as a therapist is to create a safe, non-judgmental, trusting environment to hold space for open-minded mind body connection.

Debra Trudgeon Family Care Center
Debra Trudgeon, Med Office Receptionist

I was raised a Military dependent in the Air Force. We were stationed in many different countries and cities throughout my growing up years. My favorite place was Panama Canal Zone because our backyard was the jungle and you could hear the animals at night. My hobbies and passions are traveling to explore different cultures and scenery. We’ve created a great family environment here at the Parker clinic, which is something I really love.

We all have times when we feel overwhelmed, isolated, discouraged and frustrated by a difficult relationship–when we struggle to create the life we want. It can help to have someone walk alongside you as you build on your strengths to recover what life or trauma has buried. I love to see people shed the weight of unrealistic expectations and develop practices that protect their time and emotional energy. I would love the opportunity to talk about what you are looking for and how I can support you.
