Meet the Providers

I am a native of North Carolina and I graduated PA School from Wake Forest University School of Medicine. I have an amazing family that includes a supportive husband, Jeff, and THREE boys, Anthony, Alex, and Jeremiah. We consider ourselves a sports family and you can often find us on the football field, the basketball gym, or the volleyball court. My favorite hobbies are watching my boys play their sports which generally fills up every weekend. My favorite saying is from the late Great Maya Angelou (who was also one of my professors at Wake Forest) . . . I have learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you mad them feel.
I received my PA Masters degree from the University of Nebraska and my PA degree from Wake Forest University School of Medicine. My previous experience includes time served at the Michael E Debakey VA Medical Center and Clinical Research for several small start up companies. I specialize in treating depression and anxiety especially in the geriatric population.
To prospective clients: I applaud you for taking the first step. Because of your bravery, I will take the second step to hear and see you. We can then work together to make you the best version of yourself that you want to be.

I believe treatment is a collaborative effort. When we decide on treatment, I will always offer options and explain the pros and cons of each treatment plan. I will always take time to answer questions and explain the reasoning behind my recommendations. Education on the diagnosis and what to expect over the course of treatment will also be an important component of our treatment.

Your story matters and you have struggles that are unique to you. It takes courage and strength to admit that there may be things that you struggle with that you need help to understand and work on, in order to move forward and make changes to improve your life. We will collaborate and work together in a nonjudgmental, supportive, and kind manner.

Stigma and shame are common barriers to getting help. Throughout my career, I have seen and heard it all, and I'm here to listen to your story and help you move forward towards your goals. I believe in a nonjudgmental and strengths-based approach, as well as collaborative goal-setting.

I understand that starting therapy can sometimes be scary, sitting in front of another individual to share your worries, experiences, or fears. As your therapist I want to make sure you get the attention you need, this process will take some time but we will go through it together. We will explore what works for you and what tools you need to move from past difficult experiences helping you to heal and succeed.

My intention as your healthcare provider is to get to know the real you, your background, your passions and motivations, your struggles and goals. I enjoy listening and have a non-judgmental approach. Together, we can create a tailored treatment plan to allow you to function at your utmost ability.Â

Seeking support can be challenging, and I'm here to help you or your loved one navigate this difficult road. I am collaborative, curious, humorous, and direct in my approach. I believe that therapy is most beneficial when we work together, and I will support you in identifying and uncovering your own strengths to help navigate life's difficulties. I look forward to seeing if we are a good fit and helping you take this next step in investing in yourself.

I am from Vermont, but have lived in Colorado for seven years and love it here. I live here with my husband, and 2 dogs. I am also a yoga instructor, breathwork teacher, and Reiki Master.

My approach to therapy is respectful, nonjudgmental, individualized, and collaborative. Together, the client and I work in the short-term to address symptoms that may be impacting their ability to function emotionally, interpersonally, cognitively, academically, and/or occupationally. I love doing therapy, but doing my best work requires a degree of self-care so in my free time I enjoy the outdoors, time with family and friends, the arts, and spending time with my dog, Buzz.

I enjoy working in the field of counseling to assist individuals with resolving issues so that they can lead happier and healthier lives. I am anxious to get to know you and coach you on your journey to healing or resolving any current or past issues. My approach is to get to know you as an person or unit and then try to understand what has caused you to get to this difficult period in your life and join with you in coming up with resolutions on your journey.Â

The therapeutic relationship is the foundation of counseling. I am here for you. You deserve help and I am here to provide it in your time of need. We will start where you are. Depending on your specific needs we will utilize skills and tools to fine tune behavioral change, or engage in practices to process trauma, sometimes an intervention that provides a new perspective is in order. During every session I will listen to you and hold space
to cultivate growth.

My therapeutic lens includes a connected, relationship-focused, and strength-based approach in which I always strive to focus on client autonomy and wellness. I am deeply passionate about ensuring safety within the therapeutic relationship, and I believe that everyone is capable of healing. I am deeply passionate about working
with adolescents, young adults, and LGBTQIA identifying folks. I would love the opportunity to be a part of your therapeutic journey and growth!

My job is to hear people at their most vulnerable and provide a safe, non-judgmental space for them. I know that talking about sex and relationships can be hard, so I create a safe space to explore and discover an important part of you! For individuals, this can mean coming to terms with shame or insecurity. For people in relationships, this can mean better understanding their partners.
