Meet the Providers
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Texas. I have over five years of experience providing therapy, and have worked in many areas of mental health, from a non-profit agency for at-risk youth, to a psychiatric hospital at the acute and residential level. I am passionate and experienced in working with pre-teens, adolescents, parents, and families.
My overall goal is for my clients to feel they can be themselves, and provide a therapeutic environment that is warm, welcoming, challenging but comforting, and strengths based. I am honored you have chosen to seek help and I look forward to the journey ahead.
Greetings! I am an LCSW-S with over 8 years of experience working with adolescents, active-duty military, first responders, veterans, couples and individuals. I understand how difficult it can be to find a therapist you’re able to be vulnerable with and create a positive connection with. I strive to always create a judgement-free zone. I believe in utilizing trauma-informed, strengths-based, solution-focused strategies to empower others to heal and live life to their fullest potential.
Mental health is distinct among other fields in medicine. There are no blood or imaging tests to confirm diagnoses – not yet at least. There are as many kinds of depression as there are people with depression. Every day I strive to truly listen to my patients, to see them as individuals each with a unique story, and to preserve as much autonomy as possible during their journey.
Searching for help from healthcare providers can be one of the hardest steps to get started with treatment. Once you make that step, it is my job and goal to make sure you are supported and assisted with anything you may need during that time.
I can truly say that healthcare is my passion and helping others is my biggest goal. I enjoy patient interaction most importantly and ensuring that the flow and management of healthcare facilities are efficient and helpful.
I strive to build a strong therapeutic alliance with my clients based on compassion, trust and accountability. Together, we will create a treatment plan that highlights your strengths, supports your immediate needs and promotes personal growth. You can come to sessions expecting to share, engage and explore new skills. All without judgement! Counseling may be challenging at times, but I am always rooting for you to succeed. Lasting change is the ultimate goal. There is no need to tiptoe around any issues, let’s get to work!
No matter how strong you are, life can be hard! Acknowledging life’s challenges can help us practice acceptance while also working towards change. My primary approach to therapy is building a strong therapeutic relationship based on compassion and collaboration. I can offer my expertise in mental health, but you are the expert on your life. I would love to partner with you to build the life you hope to lead.
I want to help you learn effective coping strategies to reduce anxiety, process anxiety-provoking experiences, and provide a safe and collaborative environment to explore and make positive changes. Anxiety can feel completely overwhelming, both emotionally and physically, but it is possible to change your relationship to worry and fear so you can move forward in your life with greater confidence and peace. I can also incorporate a Biblical perspective at your request.
For the past 37 years I have had the privilege to walk beside people like you and me in working through events which have caused great difficulty, through conditions such as ADHD and mood disorders, and other obstacles to fulfillment. I like to listen first, to understand, to set a pace that makes sense, and then to plan your pathways toward a greater sense of purpose and accomplishment. It is a privilege to serve the good people who come for help.
I respect the unique cultures, experiences, and preferences of my clients and personalize treatment to fit their individual needs. The connection between client and therapist is crucial for successful therapy and for that reason I work to build trust and create an inclusive and culturally affirming space for clients of all backgrounds and intersecting identities. My hope is that when clients leave my office, they feel heard, seen, and recognize the strengths they possess to meet their goals.
By examining how our unconscious mind and early childhood experiences have shaped our personality and perception of how we view the world around us, I empower my clients to develop a greater sense of self-awareness and confidence. To take ownership and accountability for their decisions and actions, and working towards identifying more appropriate actions, follow-through, and correct behavior necessary for them to finally move past the barriers that have continued to prevent them from reaching their upmost potential.
We sometimes aim to continue doing what makes us feel better in the short-term without examining the long-term effects on our mental health. If you find yourself stuck, come talk with me. Together, we will work toward strengthening your ability to overcome challenges by focusing on the present, identifying unhealthy patterns of thinking, and managing overwhelming emotions.
It’s a new day, and every morning gives us a chance to begin again. I love helping my clients make sense of their life stories and experiences. Often, these create chaos, make them unsure, and throw them off balance. Life is sometimes challenging, and I believe that they deserve a safe place to rediscover their balance and wholeness.
Are you caught in a destructive cycle in your relationship? Reached your limit and not sure what to do? Depression, anxiety, trauma, addiction, and everyday life stressors may be dictating your life at the moment, but it doesn’t have to be that way. I want to help you find a sense of hope by exploring the meaning behind the
issues and find ways to defuse them. I take an active approach in assisting my
clients and couples develop effective coping skills to face life’s challenges.
I have over ten years of experience as a medical assistant. I have worked in different specialties in the medical field from pediatrics to geriatrics, to family medicine, and mental health. I have enjoyed every specialty, but mental health is where my heart is. I’m a very compassionate and caring person. My job is to make all clients feel comfortable and at ease. My goal is to contribute to a positive experience by demonstrating integrity and respect to all clients.
I received a B.A in Psychology from The University of California, Santa Cruz and joined Family Care Center in June 2023 as a TMS Care Coordinator. My passion is supporting others in their journey towards holistic wellness. I will support you through your journey to get started with TMS. I am drawn to TMS Therapy as a modality because I want to help individuals regain the quality of life they deserve – without the unwanted side effects of medication trials. Happy to answer your questions about TMS and open the door to a brighter path.
I enjoy collaborating with clients and their families to identify strengths and
areas needing more support, encourage and nurture self-knowledge and compassion, and formulate a comprehensive plan of action in order to restore function, vibrancy and meaning in their lives. Together, we can explore the best options that meet your personal needs, goals and comfort level, which may encompass a creative combination of medication and non-medication approaches, lifestyle interventions, therapy, TMS, and other resources.
